MORE BACK YARD PROGRESS...SPA IS IN!

In my last post on our back yard we had put in garden beds and plants in, painted the fence with texture paint and cut down the orange tree to make space for a spa... over the last 2 weekends we have been digging and framing up to put in a sunken spa.

Hubby found another Gumtree bargain! If this is your first time reading my blog we have pretty much renovated our house with mostly second hand things we found off gumtree.

All of our new deck framing was second hand timber from for only $150, our Merbau decking was second hand for a few hundred also. Our new colour bond roof that will replace our entire roof we found on gumtree brand new!! The builder ordered the wrong colour for a house he was doing so we ended up getting it for 1/2 the price it would have cost to buy it our selves.

The spa is going in this corner and then next to it down 2 steps will be another deck the same width of the spa.

Always helping out! He asked for $10 if he helped for the day :)

Once the frame was up and the concrete footings were dry we took off braces and put a boarder around the top of frame of Merbau decking which the spa will sit on 👇

Then we put the spa in. We had to call in muscle for this LOL Matt and I did try.....we didn't get very far and I ended up with all fibre glass fibres stuck in my arms ekkk had to have 2 showers till the itching stopped :(

And the spa is in :) not bad for $80!! Its in great condition, pumps and heater all working :)

Next is the swimming pool! which will take up the whole back yard the kids can't wait!!
Here is a rough sketch of what it will look like, didn't write in on but a glass fence will go around the pool. We are thinking of using Paradise pools DIY above or underground you can deck or pave around I would love to pave to break up all the decking.
