Making our Picture Frame & Fireplace Progress!

Happy Monday!! Another weekend gone way to quickly, we had a busy weekend framing up our new fireplace and celebrating hubby's 40th Birthday! I had planned a surprise birthday dinner for him and invited a few friends and family without him knowing! He truly was surprised and felt very loved :) 

Today I'm sharing our huge picture frame we made some months ago, it was such an simple project to do and we love it especially the kids!

Easter Tablescape!

Easter has been and gone along with all the chocolate eggs..... I feel like I've started to contribute  added to my winter suit! That's why I'm sitting in my kitchen with a freshly made cup of chicken broth to start the health detox!  

We'll see how long this one lasts for haha.

DIY Valentine Heart Garland

I had this great idea to ask my kids to help me make this garland, I remember doing crepe paper craft when I was little and loved doing it, however after not even doing one heart they had all had enough of scrunching up crepe paper so off they went :(

Yesterday all my Christmas decor came down! It felt like it was never ending and definitely not as exciting as putting it up! Definitely going to miss listening to Christmas music.....ahh well I only have to wait 11 months haha!

Happy Saturday friends! Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I've spent the last week sick at home so I haven't really achieved much..... I did manage to drag myself out to do some Christmas shopping and decorate my front entry way so I  guess it wasn't that unproductive.

Simple Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays (Christmas is top of the list) to celebrate! Yes I live in Australia and its an American tradition but I just love the idea of having a special night with loved ones sharing a beautiful meal and all talking about what we are thankful for!



This year I have kept things neutral and simple. Please excuse the ugly air conditioning unit (if I had more time i'd try and photo shop it out LOL!)

 I found these beautiful little white pumpkins and silver pumpkin lanterns from Trade secrets!
If you follow on IG you would have seen my post about these cute little white pumpkins, they actually spell "THANKFUL" when lined up but I've turned the letters around so they can't be seen 😉

Sharing our nearly finished living room today.... its been a loooooooong stressful and time consuming renovation which is almost finished on the inside but unfortunately lots still needs to be done out side.

I hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start! We have been rained in today with extremely heavy rain fall so much in fact we have a nice swimming pool starting to take place our front yard.We had big plans to start renovating the back of our house this weekend so that is on hold for now :(

Kitchen Styling!

Hello friends! It's been awhile since my last post.....  we have lots to catch up on!

I've freshened up the kitchen a little bit for Autumn/winter and am so excited to share some new additions with you all!!

Our kitchen like in many homes is the heart of the home. Its where I spend most of my time (when I'm home) with my family and friends!

Today I spent a little bit of the afternoon re organizing the kitchen cabinets, I've been trying to squeeze this job in for a while and I am still not finished (waiting on my new plates and bowls to come) but I thought I'd post the progress!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I have spent most of the weekend out in the front yard in 30oC heat helping my husband with making new garden beds and moving a lot of dirt!! We're almost finished and i'm so excited, for the last 3 months there has been mounds of dirt and a big digger sitting in the yard and i'm over seeing it! Anyway...... back to valentines day!
